Where have I been? No fucking idea. I don’t know what I have been doing.

I went back to the Doctors the day I posted.

Tonsillitis mofos. There’s a big shock.

I went to the Medical Centre and the Doctor almost fell backwards on his chair after he clocked my sexy, fibrous, manky old tonsils.

He prescribed some super-duper horse-esque tablet antibiotics and by the time I woke up Monday morning I felt… almost perky. Tops. Getting better.

Then I woke up Tuesday morning and something was wrong.

Something not right.

How is it that you can wake up and just know that you have lost your voice, even though you don’t actually speak to anyone for an hour or two after getting up? I sat up in bed and said “Hi”. Not good. I sounded really fucking sick.

You probably don’t know much about what I do for a living, but basically I just yabba at people all day. On the phone I yabba. In meetings with clients, I yabba.

I could not yabba.

However, I decided to give it a crack but as soon as I opened my mouth I was surrounded by well-meaning workmates telling me to go home as, obviously, I sounded like a bag a shit.

So then I cried.

Because that is mature behaviour at work.

In my defence, I was SO tired. I was so sick. I was so OVER it.

I felt as ugly as a prune.

Luckily all my clients are fabulous and let me reschedule my meetings, except for one who called me before I could call him and asked me to bring a specific report with me. He got his comeuppance though as watching him back away from me in fear every time I spoke cheered me up immensely.

So I went home, and I stayed there for a couple of days.

You will be glad to know I finally finished the antibiotics last week and I finally feel (touch wood) better.

In other news, I’ve had some visitors lately…. Remember this post? It gets a LOT of traffic, who knew I had my finger on the pulse of the yoof of today? Not I.
But apparently I don’t, hence this comment from “Tammiie”

One visitor whose email address I won’t be selling is the fabulous Chrissie Swan. Chrissie stumbled upon my blog and sent me a lovely email to thank me for my reference to her in this post. So I sent her back a really mongy email, telling her how I loved her and ramble, ramble, ramble. How mortifying. I am suprised I didn’t just ask her to be my BFF. ZOMFG.

Lastly, before I go, apologies for my silence on your blogs and in your inboxes lately. I’ve tried to keep up with everyone lately, but the illness killed any enthusiasm for life for about 5 weeks.

Ok, there was a video here, but it’s now sadly gone. But I’m going to miss Big Brother.
