NaBloPoMo – Day Twenty.

20 11 2007

Twenty Days… Here’s something for each one of those days…

1. I had my first “dingle” in my car today. It’s hard to explain but I crunched underneath the back of the car on our extremely steep driveway and then got such a fright that I crunched into a pole. Nothing serious, just a couple of scrapes.

2. I once got hit by a bike courier, a BICYCLE courier in fact. I got thrown about 3 metres onto a busy road but got away with scraped palms, knees and my shoulder blades were slightly uneven. Luckily I was working at the time so I got free physio.

3. I like vegemite and lettuce sandwiches.

2. I once considered moving to Weipa in Far North Queensland, check out this fabulous website for more info on the beautiful Cape.

3. I am really into fresh herbs right now. I wish my parsley had not gone to seed.

4. I dreamt last night that I was pregnant to Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and I was being stalked by paparazzi for photos. Odd.

5. My brother Paul once taped two tapes of MTV Japan in about 1987 and I watched them over and over. Even now if I hear one of the songs from those videos I will start singing the song afterwards and generally come out with things like “MTV… It’s an attitude”.

6. Once I got up onstage at a nightclub to request a song and then walked straight OFF the stage instead of down the seven or so stairs. I dislocated my thumb. Needless to say I had had a few drinks.

7. I love watching CSI:Miami, it really makes me laugh and I find the storylines particularly gripping. I think what makes me laugh is the way Horatio delivers certain lines.

8. I have deducted from watching these sort of shows that when someone has been MURDERED that all power is IMMEDIATELY cut off in the premises thus all the CSI people have to walk around investigating with those poxy little torches.

9. I really like Ikea bathmats.

10. I can’t wait to catch up with my cousin Leah soon, I’ve only seen her twice in 7 years, when I stayed with her in Singapore and when she got married.

11. Leah, her sister Lexie and I made up a dance to Babooshka in about 1985. I can still do most of it.

12. I met Bob Geldof once, he was really nice.

13. I love singing along to Do they know it’s Christmas REALLY loud.

14. I’ve probably told you this before but I have a crush on Brian May from Queen. He and his Dad built his guitar you know.

15. I love reading stuff on Wikipedia.

16. I’ve been knitting a scarf since I was 12 but can’t find it right now. It’s… somewhere.

17. My little sister made me a scarf when she was 11. I still wear it.

18. I wear Stella by Stella McCartney but I really love Mitsouko, just in case anyone wants to buy me a bottle….

19. My Internet just crashed losing this point. That’s irritating.

20. I love reading Jackie Collins books.

you did more than 20.

also, “dingle” sounds really dirty, but a bit fun. i was sad to read on and find out that it meant “accident” or “fender bender” instead of what i thought. ;)

7 – I feel a bit the same way about some of the characters in Heroes. Even though I LOVE IT, if you repeat the dialogue back it sounds soooooo hokey.

15 – I am really worried that as about 80% of my knowledge and trivia now comes fromt he great God Wikipedia, it’ mostly wrong. However, I have now decided that this just skips out the wholw chinese whispers stage of humanity anyway, so I’m probably about as accurate as i was anyway.

Which is all very me, me, me. How are you??

Yipes! I hope you and Lola are okay. Dingles are frightening. In my old car, I had a dingle with a pole.. er, shopping centre pylon. It was TERRIFYING. The noise! Argh!

Ha, Babooshka. Love that song. I used to have that album played on repeat growing up. CSI is awesome.
