Never one to walk away from a challenge (which I have btw, it just sounds better than “having walked away from a challenge many times”) I am hereby presenting a list of 5 useless things about me (or useful perhaps if you decided to stalk me) as requested by the spanky boz.
1 I get pedicures regularly, but bite my fingernails.
My Mum gave me a voucher for a pedicure and manicure at some posh place in Balmain for Christmas which I am yet to redeem as I need to actually get some fingernails to get my moneys worth (or my Mum’s money as it were).
I mean, it’s not like my fingernails are chewed up past the bed and are all gross and stuff, sometimes they grow and then I watch something particularly gripping and I shred bits off in nervousness.
I almost ate my entire hand when I watched Wolf Creek and 28 Days Later.
My favourite colours for nails is red. Bright reds, deep reds, shiny reds… all reds.
2 I get crushes on the most UNUSUAL men.
I get crushes on regular ones too, but a friend and I once sat down and wrote a list entitle “Strange men that Julia finds attractive, men that Julia finds strangely attractive” or something like that. It was a long time ago and were quite bored.
We came to over 100 men, some of which included:
Vincent D’Onofrio (Detective Bobby Goran)
When I watched him being interviewed on Rove, i seriously nearly licked the screen.
“Jimmy” James Mathison – Host of Australian Idol.

3 I have a very rigid skincare regime including cleansing every day and exfoliating about 3 times a week. I swear by Soothing Protection Spray by Dermalogica and Beauty Flash by Clarins. in fact I use 3 or 4 different moisturisers every day and this is my favourite website ever. Seriously, get the free postage option, it never takes longer than a few days.
4 I think the best day of my life was when I was about 6 and my Dad took me to the Pitt Street cinemas to see Flashdance and then afterwards he bought me Michael Jackson’s Thriller and The Smurfs album with classics such as the toothbrush song and “Fe fi fo fo fum, on one leg and round I come. Fe fi fo fo fum, dancing in the Summer sun”
5 I am quite obsessed with bright green. I have so many bright green tops that Schoon has banned me from buying them until I wear these ones out. Bright green things I own as follows:

Frog green sleeveless top
Moss green sleeveless top
Black and bright green strapless top which I wore to U2
Bright green scarf
Bright green wooden bead earrings
Bright green jade earrings from the lovely Lizzy

I now aim to buy some bright green dresses, one can never have enough green in your life.

My God – I thought I was the only one who fancied Vincent D’Onofrio!!! It was a while back when I was watching Law & Order on a rather frequent basis, but who knew?!
Barry Gibb is a must, of course. He was gorgeous way back when. And, Jula, I defy you to meet Brad Pitt & not feel a little weak in the knees! Poor Brad – he gets an undeservedly hard time.

Hi Ginger! Welcome! I still love Barry, though him having arthritis has kind of put the kybosh on things. He had lovely hairs in the 70’s though.
Knocksie.. I loooooove Vincent.. I almost even like him more when he is chubbier and poorly shaven. Grrrr. As for Brad, well, I guess I would give him a pash so he didn’t feel left out and all.
Attraction is un-pin-down-able sometimes. And I mean that in quite a physical sense (heavy breathing noises).

I, too, am a fan of Vincent D’Onofrio! I think Law and Order: Criminal Intent is completely ridiculous and the storylines are wholly improbable but I love watching Vincent D’Onofrio. And Mr. Big is no Vincent D’Onofrio so I usually don’t bother with the Chris Noth episodes.
When I was 10 and in love with Duran Duran my friend Dee and I would write notes to each other about the things we would do if we went on a date with our boyfriends, John Taylor (her bf) and Simon LeBon (mine.)
